Located above the River Ebro, five minutes from the centre of historic Logroño is Bodega Franco-Españolas. The winery is another example of the co-operation between Bordeaux and Rioja during the 19th century. The winery has hosted many illustrious guests in its history, such as King Alfonso XIII of Spain and the writer Ernest Hemingway. Today you can follow in their footsteps. The winery has been recognised and awarded for its wine tourism experiences. As well as visits it holds regular events throughout the year based around music, cinema, theatre and fashion.
