Who’s on the 2020 list?

Anticipation is building… The votes are in…

The countdown to the unveiling of the World’s Best Vineyards’ 2020 list has begun.

This year, we will make the announcement in Sonoma County, California, on July 13. Sonoma County is home to 500 wineries and more than 1,800 grapegrowers.

World’s Best Vineyards ranks the most amazing places to taste wine and learn how the grapes are grown and wines are created.

As with our 2019 list, we are expecting to see a mixture of famous names and less well-known wine destinations. Will your favourite place be on the list and, if so, where does it rank in the wonderful world of wine tourism?

We are also expecting a few surprises. There are producers and places that only the wine industry knows about… so far. Our prestigious Academy, which comprises over 500 leading wine experts, sommeliers and travel correspondents from across the globe, all nominate seven vineyards each based on the different elements that make for a rewarding visit including quality of tours, ambiance, cuisine, staff, views, accessibility, value and reputation.

One thing is for sure, all the wineries on our 2020 list are worth visiting.

So are the places on our 2019 list!
