Almaviva
Maipo Valley, Chile
- #34 The World's 50 Best Vineyard 2025
For all Bordeaux wine lovers, a trip to Almaviva in Chile is a must. Part owned by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild (actress and owner of Chateau Mouton Rothschild) this relatively modern Estate is based around the concept of the classic French Chateau and oozes charm, opulence and sheer beauty. Based in the highest part of Maipo Valley with ideal conditions for growing cabernet sauvignon, this is where they vinify excellence. Tastings are not cheap, starting at around USD$120 for two wines, but it is well worth living like a King for one day.
