Viña Aquitania
Metropolitana, Chile
In 1984, two celebrated Bordeaux winemakers, Bruno Prats and Paul Pontallier, went to Chile in search of new terroirs. Partnering with local winemaker Felipe de Solminihac, they acquired 18 hectares in the region of Maipo and Viña Aquitania was born. The savoir-faire of Bordeaux winemaking is the perfect pairing with the soils of the Andean foothills, especially for making fine Cabernet Sauvignon wines. With a healthy climate, the grapes reach optimum ripeness before picking, ensuring the maximum flavour and quality of the final wine. Visitors can pick from one of two tours to experience this premium Chilean winery.
