Coulée de Serrant

Loire Valley, France

Nicolas Joly, the owner of Coulée de Serrant, believes that wine should not only taste good but also be 'true'. He is a passionate advocate of biodynamic farming and takes great care to ensure that all his wines are true to their terroir. The vines are tended by hand, and the steep slopes above the River Loire are ploughed by horse as tractors cannot navigate them. Visitors to the Loire should ensure they discover the rich history of Coulée de Serrant, which has been making wine for over 800 years and is considered one of the finest vineyards in France.
