Estate Argyros

The venerable vines of Estate Argyros are, justifiably, the stars of the show at this organic central Santorini winery, with some exceeding two centuries in age. Run by the fourth generation of the Argyros family, visitors are welcomed into the vineyards to learn the painstaking methods used to cultivate and pick the prized fruit (dominated by the island’s flagship grape, Assyrtiko) before touring the gravity-fed winery completed in 2016. Tastings incorporate local cuisine and Argyros’ sweet white wines (vin santos), with visitors running the chance of sampling rarer bottlings not available elsewhere, depending on availability.
