Ceretto
Langhe, Italy
- #20 World's Best Vineyard 2024
The Ceretto family has been making wine in Piedmont since the 1930s and the current generation invites you with warmth and brio to sample the delights of the Langhe region. That might be through Barolo-centric tastings – taking the ‘Shades of Nebbiolo’ tutorial – or walking through the Monsordo Bernardino vineyards just outside Alba (home of truffles and hazelnuts – besides wine, the Cerettos are also proud nougat producers) where a futuristic glass bubble, reminiscent of a grape floats over the vineyards for drinking wine in (just one of a series of artworks, including a giant glass cube and colourful Barolo Chapel amid other vines). Sustenance comes from their three-Michelin-star restaurant, Piazza Duomo, opened in 2005 alongside chef Enrico Crippa, with the more informal La Piola downstairs.
if you want we have added a tasting who gives the chance to taste a vertical of our crus, for those who want to go deep in the knowledge of the Langhe history click here to find out more.
