With increasing amounts of the land farmed organically, vineyard tours are conducted by four-by-four or helicopter, whilst traditional tasting options are served in the silhouette of the Richmond Ranges. Gourmands might want to try the seasonal tasting menu for that something special and, in summer months, Jack’s Raw Bar serves up fresh Japanese-inspired seafood dishes in the garden. Elsewhere, half-day boat tours take you out to the Marlborough Sounds – river valleys long-submerged, creating a warren of waterways off the northern tip of New Zealand’s South Island – during which you’ll get lunch and a selection of the wines that have been delighting the world since 1985. You may even spot a dolphin or two.
