In 1985, the men and women of the town of Laguardia banded together to form Artadi. Their passion for the viticultural heritage of Rioja is continued today by the Lacalle and Laorden families, who continue to make wine that preserves traditional production while also respecting the environment. Growing the traditional grape varieties of the region, the vineyards are farmed according to organic and biodynamic principles, rejecting industrial production techniques.
