Henschke
South Australia, Australia
The ‘Hill of Grace’ experience captures the essence of Henschke, where one of Australia’s First Families of Wine creates some of the country’s finest Shiraz. It focuses on the vineyard of the same name (so called after the Gnadenberg Church that overlooks it), whose 150-year-old vines contribute to the estate’s now emblematic wine. Continue through to the working winery before sampling rarer bottles in the tasting area; set within the 1860s Grain Barn, surrounded by original dry-stone walls and family portraits, guests with less time on their hands can make a beeline for the visitors’ centre and three categories of wine flight on offer.
