Quinta do Crasto
Douro Valley, Portugal
- #15 World's Best Vineyards 2023
Waking up in one of the Quinta do Crasto’s four suites makes you feel like one of the family, who may well join you for breakfast in the dining room while you feast on the estate’s bounty of oranges, olive oil, homemade bread and more. Next to the manor house is a ‘Marco Pombalino’, one of the historic stones used to designate the boundaries of the Douro when it became the world’s first official wine region, in 1758. For some contemporary contrast, dive into the infinity pool protruding from the dramatic hillside, with wine and tapas served on its edge.
