William Reed launches definitive List of the World’s Best Vineyards to visit

- Inaugural award ceremony in London this July -

A prestigious voting academy from around the world has created their list of the World’s Best Vineyards to visit from across the globe. On Monday 8th July, the top 50 vineyards will be announced at a ceremony in London’s Banqueting House.  

The aim of the list is to raise the profile of wine tourism, encouraging visitors from all over the world to explore the world’s best wineries.

The results, revealing the top wineries in Australasia, Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and South America will be announced on www.worldsbestvineyards.com and on social @worldsbestvineyards on Facebook and Instagram.

Taking place on Monday, 8th July at Banqueting House, London, the awards ceremony begins at 18:30 with a drinks reception, followed by an unveiling of the top 50 vineyards, in reverse order from 19:30pm onwards.

The list has been compiled from all of the nominations by the global academy of voters. There are some 18 Chairs who have nominated up to 36 judges each, that have voted for the top seven vineyards that they have visited from anywhere in the world. There is no set criteria by which they make their judgement, it is about the “total experience”. Then the votes are counted and the sites ranked to establish which are the World’s Best Vineyards to visit.
