The late Robert Mondavi established his namesake winery in 1966 with a vision to create Napa Valley wines that would stand in the company of the world’s finest. He chose To Kalon Vineyard in the heart of Napa Valley as the home for Robert Mondavi Winery. This first-growth vineyard, located in Oakville, California, is renowned for producing some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the world, as well as for its Sauvignon Blanc grapes from which Mondavi crafted his signature Loire-inspired wine, Fumé Blanc.

With construction on-going at the winery, Mondavi are hosting guests in their venue in downtown Napa; Arch & Tower. Arch & Tower serves as an elegant and inviting space for our guests to enjoy daily wine and culinary experiences, as well as special events. Guests can expect a variety of unique experiences, including expert-led wine and food pairing events, educational seminars and interactive activities designed to enhance one’s appreciation of the wines from the region. Experience the essence of Napa Valley with a tasting featuring Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Red Blend. Each wine beautifully captures the subtle characteristics of Napa’s diverse landscape, offering a balance of freshness, depth and complexity. Enjoy their Legend Lunch where Mondavi wines are paired with a menu derived from a modern expression of 1960s classics. Rest assured, a warm greeting and welcome wine await you and the leisurely lunch can be enjoyed on small communal tables on the outdoor terrace.

The wines

The standard Cabernet Sauvignon and To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve both deserve a place in the cellar of any serious collector and have a proven track record of ageing for decades. Aged Mondavi reds show a staggering energy, symmetry and beauty - they are historical time capsules - lessons in intensity with grace.
Mondavi’s signature white, Fumé Blanc, is zesty and vivacious, layered, textured and weighty. Succulent, crisp and expressive on the palate with mineral notes behind - it remains a benchmark Sauvignon Blanc from the region.
