Wine Style
This bold and committed family produce red and white wines from Hermitage and the surrounding Rhône Valley and beyond.
Respect.Respect is at the beginning of everything. Respect for the terroir and the unique equation between soil, climate and human talent. Respect for the earth by anticipating its needs. Respect for the plant and the fruit until the harvest. Respect for consumers, whether they are wine connoisseurs or not. Without respect, wine has no soul.
The winesMaison M. Chapoutier produces an incredibly broad range of wines at every price point – from everyday Côtes du Rhône to much sought after, prestigious, single-vineyard wines. The family is inextricably tied to the hill of Hermitage, from where its most coveted single-vineyard wines hail. (Chapoutier owns a remarkable 25% of this appellation). As well as owning vineyards the length and breadth of the Rhône, from Châteauneuf-du-Pape to Condrieu, the company has, more recently, expanded beyond its home with vineyards in Australia, Spain, Portugal and elsewhere in France, including Beaujolais and Provence. Internationally recognised, the company has won numerous awards for the consistent quality of its wines.
