Lamadrid Estate Wines
Mendoza, Argentina
Founded in memory of his mother by Cuban native Guillermo García Lamadrid, this wine estate has family at its core. And heritage meets modernity here, with a philosophy that incorporates a love of bowls (or “bocce” – which you may spy on the wines’ labels) and yet innovation in the winery (where you’ll spot some highly fashionable concrete eggs). Be sure to make a reservation so that you can taste the range of wines, from the classic line to the more experimental Zunzun range, including a cofermented blend of Bonarda and Malbec, ideally in front of the open fire, Andes in the background. Accommodation is also available.
