Zorzal Wines

Mendoza, Argentina

Located in the burgeoning sub-region of Gualtallary, in the northern part of the Uco Valley, Zorzal Wines shines a light on its notably high-altitude vineyards and interesting soils with its natural techniques and largely organic practices. And you can get involved too, by cycling through the vineyards, pruning the vines or harvesting the grapes if you’re there at the right time. Otherwise, kick back and enjoy some traditional food (including empanadas and grilled meats) in the grounds of the contemporary winery – alongside the winemaker, if you’re lucky. Tasting options take you through the various ranges, from single vineyard cuvées to quirky field blends and the noted ‘Eggo’ wines, fermented and aged solely in concrete eggs for clean and vibrant flavours. And as a prime stargazing spot, you might want to stay on overnight.
