Growing Texas wine: Texas Hill Country winemakers William 'Bill' Blackmon and Chris Brundrett have much in common: a shared winemaking philosophy and a vision for what the Texas wine industry can achieve. Both agree that great wines are not made but grown. They also believe that wine should be inspired by the pleasure of sharing a bottle with extended friends and family. And so with a credit card and just USD$40K investment they set out to build something lasting: a winery rooted in respect for their land, authentic winemaking and a deep connection to community.

Rolling hills and country views: Tucked into the heart of Hye, Texas, William Chris Vineyards captures the spirit of Texas Wine Country. Rolling hill country views, a 400-year old oak grove and estate-owned Tannat vines surround the property. An historic graveyard rests beside the members lounge, where the land's former owner – who met his end in a duel over livestock – is buried. Texas history runs deep here.

Today, William Chris Vineyards continues to reach for a level of quality that represents the very best of Texas. Confident in their land and processes and with pride in their team, community and the special place they call home, they proudly inscribe every bottle with, "We are pleased to share a piece of our world."

Reserve Tasting: The hour-long Reserve Tasting tasting begins in the Oak Room with a selection of limited library wines, then a visit to the barrel room and behind the scenes to learn about the art of winemaking. This tasting celebrates the finest wines William Chris Vineyards can offer, all crafted with care and shared with the warmth of Texan hospitality. For those looking to dive even deeper, their acclaimed Chef's Table offers a guided food and wine pairing that explores the full expression of William Chris wines.

Texan hospitality: There is much to explore and taste here, all experiences are thoughtfully curated and cater for every kind of wine lover. The welcome is warm and the estate's wine ambassadors share their knowledge and passion to bring every bottle to life. Approachable and family-friendly, children are welcome, as are pets. Chris Williams Vineyards is for wine and food lovers, or for anyone who wants to slow down and savour Hill Country, Texas.
