The name means ‘soul’ and ‘passion’, which are the driving forces behind this 86-hectare estate where a portion of the vineyards, shaped into a fingerprint to match the brand’s logo, can be seen from Google Earth. Alpasión doubles up as an ecologically focussed haven for overnight guests, who have the option of a six-bedroomed lodge or glamping area, each luxurious tent with a private deck and al fresco hot tub. Those guests also get exclusive access to the intimate restaurant, where locally sourced produce (much from the estate’s own gardens) is cooked over open fire. The vineyards are working towards organic certification, producing characterful wines that can be supped poolside, amongst olive trees and mountain views.
