Mountains of inspiration: Kaiken wines draw inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding its vineyards. Located in the heart of Vistalba, Argentina, the majestic, rocky spires of the Andes Mountains are omnipresent. Here, 25 years ago, legendary Chilean winemaker, Aurelio Montes, traversed the Andes to make wines in Mendoza, founding Kaiken in 2002.

Harmony with nature: Nature is the inspiration behind these wines, indeed, the winery is named after Caiquén – native South American wild geese that reside in southern Chile and migrate north to central Argentina during winter. They symbolise a journey that defies borders as they soar across the mountains bridging Argentina and Chile. Aside from the vineyards there are 110 hectares of native vegetation, which act as a haven for dozens of bird species and vertebrates as well as insect hotels for the smaller critters. Nature and community are at the heart of Kaiken.

Cava del Ángel: The Cava del Ángel is one of Kaiken's most treasured gems. Located underground in the heart of the winery, this is a place full of mystique and aligned energies. It is where Kaiken's icon wines rest, with stable temperature and optimal humidity, evolving in harmony with Gregorian chants that resonate throughout the cellar and stir emotions within its walls. Like the wild geese, Kaiken wines carry a legacy that guides and elevates them.

Flying over the Andes: This is an immersive wine tour through Kaiken's iconic wines. Stroll through the scenic vineyards sipping a welcome glass of wine, tour the century-old winery, the sparkling wine cellar and their enchanting Cava del Ángel. Taste a range of wines including their flagship Malbec, Mai (meaning 'first' in the indigenous Pehuenche dialect) crafted from century-old, low trellis vineyards from the heart of Luján de Cuyo in Vistalba.

Andes Challenge: This tasting includes wine flights from Kaiken as well as from Viña Montes, the sister winery in Chile. It's a great way to discover the personality and varietal expression of each grape variety and the terroir from these two neighbouring countries.
